Whether or not Rishabh Pant will be participating in the World Cup (2019) team, is not clear yet, but he received a massive pay raise for his spectacular performance in the year 2018. BCCI has given a great gift to this young wicketkeeper who scored a hundred during the Test series on Australia and England tournaments.
BCCI has announced the new annual contract and Pant has been included in the A grade. Under this, Rishabh will be given Rs 5 crore for the 2018-19 season. This time three players were included in the A + grade category.
Indian team captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah have been assigned the placed in A + grade. These three will be given Rs 7 crore as an annual salary. This time 11 players have been included in grade A. Four players have been given the place in grade B. Grade B players are given Rs. 3 crores annually. Additionally, seven players have been categorized in grade C. Players in Grade C get Rs 1 crore annually.

- Grade A : Annual salary Rs 5 Crore
- Grade B : Annual salary Rs 3 Crore
- Grade C : Annual salary Rs 1 Crore
Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar received a massive setback. They have been dropped out of the top grade. Both players have moved from A + grade to grade A. Apart from these two, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant are included in the A grade list for 2019.
B grade includes 4 players. Opener KL Rahul, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya are kept in this grade. The players of this grade get Rs 3 crore annually. 7 players have been placed in C grade. This includes Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Kartik, Ambati Rayudu, Manish Pandey, Hanuma Vihari, Khalil Ahmed and Wriddhiman Saha. All these players will get Rs 1 crore annually.
Four players, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Poonam Yadav have been placed in A grade (Rs 50 lakhs) in the central contract for wome. In grade B (Rs 30 lakh), five players Ekta Bisht, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Deepti Sharma and Jemima Rodrigues have been named. Radha Yadav, D Hemlata, Anja Patil, Veda Krishnamurthy, Mansi Joshi, Poonam Raut, Mona Meshram, Arundhati Reddy, Rajeshwari Gaikwad, Tania Bhatia and Poonam Vastrawar are included in C grade (10 lakh).
