Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised its ₹ 319 Prepaid plan to reduce it’s duration to 84 days, instead of 90 days. The company’s motive is pretty clear, they want to align their plans to provide strong competition to the private sector players like Jio and Airtel.
The ₹ 319 Prepaid plan was introduced last year by BSNL with an initial validity of 90 days. The provider also reduced the validity of ₹ 99 Prepaid plan from 26 days to 24 days. Under the ₹ 319 plan, customers are only given the benefits of voice calls. Customers will be able to make unlimited Local and STD calls except in Delhi and Mumbai Circles. This plan has been specially introduced to users who use feature phones and do voice calls more than SMS and data.
With these news changes, let’s take a look at the private sector leaders in prepaid plans Airtel and Jio:
The Airtel ₹ 399 plan:
In this plan, customers get a total of 117 GB data, where you can use 1.4GB 4G data every day. Additionally, you also get free roaming with free local and STD voice calling along with 100 SMS daily. The plan also provides a free subscription to Airtel apps and services. The validity of this plan is 84 days which is the same as BSNL.
The Jio ₹ 399 plan:
When it comes to Jio, you get 1.5GB of 4G data when you recharge with a ₹ 399 plan. The plan also gives customers free roaming and free voice calling. Additionally, you also get 100 SMS per day. It also offers a free subscription to a variety of Jio apps and services. The validity of this plan is 84 days which is the same as BSNL as well as Airtel.
