As you might have noticed from the recent launches of smartphones in India, the battery capacity range still holds at 4,000 or 5,000mAh.
Nonetheless, the technology available in the current year far exceeds the commercial offerings we regularly see in the smartphone market. This was made clear by Avenir Telecom with their new Energizer P18K Pop model with over 3 times the battery capacity than the majority of smartphones – 18,000mAh to be precise.
In pragmatic terms, this would give you two full days of continuous video feedback. Of course, nobody actually watches two days of movies non-stop on their phone, so effectively, you would get about a week’s worth of smartphone use without having to charging it.
Unfortunately, the Energizer P18K Pop doesn’t employ some new, cutting-edge battery technology. Instead, they’ve opted to simply increase the size of the battery, which makes the phone look like a thick book.
- 6.2-inch display – thin bezels
- dual selfie camera with pop-up mechanism
- MediaTek Helio P70 processor
- 6GB RAM
- 128GB storage
- USB Type-C
Naturally, it will come with a fast charger, but don’t expect the giant battery to be fully charged in less than a couple of hours.
