The New Zealand Christchurch terror attack has shocked the world and shown the hatred that resides in some people. With the world coming together as one to pray for the dead and their families, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a message that represents how the world is feeling.
The Prime Minister wrote to his counterpart in New Zealand showing solidarity and expressing deep shock over the ghastly attack. He offered prayers for the injured and grief for the families of the dead.
He reiterated that India is against terrorism in any and all forms or manifestations and said, “Hatred and violence have no place in diverse and democratic societies”. This attack has shocked the world and put a spotlight on the hatred and hate mongering that leads to these cruel and cowardly attacks on innocents.
Many other world leaders including United States President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Theresa May have also shown their support with UK and France stepping up security at various religious sites.
