The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition seeking a ban on candidates who have more than two children from contesting elections. The Supreme Court was unmoved by this petition. This petition was filed by advocate and BJP leader Ashwani Kumar Upadhyay.

Ashwani Kumar Upadhyay filed a petition in the Supreme Court and requested that the political parties follow the rule of two children and do not take candidates with more than two children in the election. Also, in the petition, there was a demand for suitable changes in the law related to the condition of two-child rule declaring mandatory condition for government jobs, subsidy and condition and recognition of state level or national parties.

Indeed, the population of the country is increasing rapidly. After some time we will be ahead of China in terms of population. In such a case, Ashwani Kumar Upadhyay says that not following the rules of two children, the Constitutional rights of the citizens, including rights to contest seats and election, should be withdrawn. If this is done, then the population can be controlled.
