Swine flu has become an enemy of the lives of people in Indore in Madhya Pradesh. So far, 41 people have died due to swine flu. As the country battles this deadly flu, other states have also reported many swine flu cases.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Praveen Jadiya told the news agency ANI that
“From Jan till date we sent 644 samples for tests, out of which 152 were positive, reports of 10 are yet to come. 41 deaths reported out of which 20 were from Indore. Currently 19 patients with swine-flu are admitted.”
Jadiya further added, “We have increased the number of fever clinics & screening centres, patients are being given primary treatment there.” He told that swine flu is an infection, which is caused by several swine influenza virus (SIV), in which H1N1 is the most common throughout the country.
The H1N1 virus spreads when a person touches an infected person or the infection occurs from splashes of fluid emitted from the patient’s coughing, sneezing, etc.
