The Jammu and Kashmir Police has killed a Jaish-e-Mohammad operative in an encounter on Sunday in south Kashmir suspected to be involved in the Pulwama terror attack along with two other terrorists.

The suspect was Mudasir Ahmed Khan, a 23-year-old graduate who worked as an electrician in Pulwama. He was believed to have arranged for the Maruti Eeco car used in the suicide bombing. He was also in constant contact with Adil Ahmed Dar, the suicide bomber responsible for the attack.

A police report read, “Moreover both terrorists were involved in planning and executing several terror attacks in the area particularly Mudasir who was involved in Case FIR No 150/2018 pertaining to attack on CRPF camp in Lethpora last year and Case FIR No 08/2018 under section 18,19,20 ULAP Act. Pertinently the investigation so far conducted revealed that Mudasir was one of the key conspirators of the recent Pulwama NH convoy attack,”

The encounter was carried out in Tral after terrorists opened fire at security forces.
